A new article in Tekno Scienze Publisher titled “Sensory profiling of cosmetic products: Could it be easier? Use of rheology and textural analysis” discusses how texture analyzers can help simplify and cut down on the cost of cosmetic product sensory profiling.

Existing studies have confirmed that strong correlations can be found between some instrumentally measured parameters and certain sensory attributes. Using a texture analyzer to test product texture attributes and then using the resulting data to predict sensory attributes offers cosmetic product manufacturers a simplified and cost-effective method of obtaining a full sensory profile of a particular product.
