The University of Mississippi is continuing to offer an excellent hands-on course in tablet technology.

The course offers an overview of the fundamental concepts of the technology used in the preparation of uncoated/coated tablet products. It includes lecture topics on tableting processes and hot melt extrusion, such as pre-formulation, extrusion, granulation, tableting, and coating, as well as stability, validation, product evaluation, FDA regulatory requirements, and SUPAC guidelines. The course also includes 20 hours of hands-on laboratory training consisting of preformulation, hot-melt extrusion, granulation, tableting, coating, and tablet evaluation. As part of the course content, Randy Koch from our team will demonstrate use of the TA.XTPlus and how to conduct tablet texture analysis.

The course will be offered three times in 2015:

  • March 15-20, 2015
  • May 31-June 5, 2015
  • September 13-18, 2015
