Temperature and Humidity Devices

Test at specific non-ambient temperatures or a range of temperatures. Great for products that are temperature-critical, like confectioner, gels, high-fat or oil products, and waxes.

How They Work

1

Add heating or cooling.

2

As you approach target temperature, stop heating or cooling.

3

Maintain the target. See results alongside the texture analysis plot.

Thermal Cabinets

TC/LN2 or TCHD/LN2

  • Uses liquid nitrogen for cooling and electric for heating

  • Provides an accurately controlled temperature environment

  • Solve testing problems associated with hot and cold products like adhesives, ice cream, molten cheese, and waxes.

Temperature Range

-40°C to 180°C

Compatibility

TC/LN2: with the TA.XTPlus

TCHD/LN2: with the TA.HDPlus

Humidity & Temperature Module

XT/HTM

  • Measures air temperature and humidity data (doesn’t change it).

  • Sample and record temperature every ten seconds.
  •
A flexible clamping arm securely fixes probe in position.

  • Connect up to four modules directly to your Texture Analyzer. No need to insert into product.

Operating Humidity Range

0-100%RH (relative humidity)

Operating Temp. Range

-30°C to 100°C

Accuracy (at 23°C)

±2.5%RH and ±0.3°C

Compatible with...

TA.XTPlus and TA.HDPlus

Peltier Cabinet & Temperature Controller

XT/PC

  • Create a stable and accurate temperature-controlled environment using PID control
  •
Attached to the Texture Analyzer base with nylon insulating pillars.
  •
Double-walled transparent door lets you see the sample as it’s tested.

  • Controlled with a separate Peltier Control Unit which can be positioned close to or far from the instrument.

Internal Height

85mm

Operating Temp. Range

+80°C to 20°C below ambient

Compatible with...

TA.XTPlus and TA.HDPlus

Peltier Plate

XT/PP

  • Provides a stable surface temperature in order to minimize—or at least accurately monitor—temperature effects.
  •
Great for small or thin products like pressure-sensitive adhesives or films.
  •
Controlled with a separate Peltier Control Unit which can be positioned close to or far from the instrument.

Surface Dimensions

110mm x 100mm

Operating Temp. Range

+80°C to 30°C below ambient

Compatible with...

TA.XTPlus and TA.HDPlus

Thermocouple Probe

PT100

  • A platinum resistance hand probe that measures and plots product temperature
  •
Incredibly fast response time
  •
Easy to clean and sterilize without degrading performance

  • Plug into two dedicated ports on your Texture Analyzer to collect data simultaneously from separate locations.

Sensor Accuracy

±0.35°C

Operating Temp. Range

-50°C to 250°C

Protection of Platinum Element

2.5mm diameter stainless steel sheath
