Background

Three point bend tests are commonly used to measure the bending and breaking force of a wide variety of stiff and brittle products. This application study covers two different types of snacks: Melba Whole Grain Snacks and Wheat Thins Whole Wheat Crackers. While these two types of snacks are not directly comparable, they were tested with identical settings to demonstrate the method.
