Background

This study is the third in a series on recovery footwear. The first application used a TA-004 1.5” diameter acrylic cylinder probe to determine impact absorption and resilience of OOFOS shoes over a lengthy, 400 cycle test. The second study evaluated whether the same behavior could be quantified by a single cycle test with a TA-018 ½” diameter stainless steel ball probe. This study will continue to use the single cycle test with a TA-018 ½” diameter stainless steel ball probe to determine the firmness and resilience of six different insoles. These results will determine which insole behaves most similarly to the three OOFOS brand shoes.
